Coconut oil is in almost every handmade soap. It's cheap, it lathers, and it's also one of the most common reasons "natural" soap ends up irritating the skin it's supposed to help. I formulate every bar in this club without it. No exceptions, no substitutions that sneak coconut derivatives back in through the side door.

Each month you get a full-size bar, small-batch and handmade here in Flagler County, Florida, on a different coconut-free base and scent. Tallow, olive, lard, triple butter with goat milk. Twelve bars, twelve formulas, one full year of finding out what actually works for your skin.

Every bar in the club is built on a different coconut-free base, so you're not just getting a new scent each month, you're getting a different formula.

No. 01, The First One, is a salt bar: tallow and babassu with sea salt pressed into the top, lemongrass and cedar. Salt bars lather differently than a standard cold process bar, denser and more refined, and this one's what the club launches on.

No. 02, Grounded, runs on a lard base with rosemary-infused lard underneath cedarwood and vetiver. Lard produces a dense, creamy lather your skin notices immediately.

No. 04, Warm Front, is the richest bar in the lineup: triple butter with goat milk, sweet orange and clove, dried orange peel powder mixed in at trace. No fragrance oil anywhere near it, which is the difference between this and every mass-market holiday soap that breaks sensitive skin out within a week.

No. 06, Nothing Extra, ships in January and it's the one built specifically for the face: olive, apricot kernel, and shea, unscented, no colorant, no fragrance. If you've been looking for a fragrance-free option in a scent-forward subscription box, this is the month it shows up.

3-Month Prepay - $43 total. That's $14.33 a bar, about 10% off month-to-month. Ships monthly for 3 months.

Ships the 15th

Bars ship the 15th of every month. Scent reveal lands on the 1st. You'll get tracking as soon as it leaves the studio.

Subscribe by the 10th of the month to be included in that month's shipment. Sign up after the 10th and your first bar ships the following month instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there a soap made without coconut oil?

Yes. Coconut oil (and coconut-derived surfactants like sodium coco sulfate) show up in most handmade and commercial soap because they're cheap and they lather well. Every base I use in this club leaves them out entirely: tallow, babassu, lard, olive, and shea instead. If coconut-based soap has irritated your skin before, this is a different starting point.

Q: When does my bar ship?

The 15th of every month. You'll get a shipping notification with tracking as soon as it leaves the studio.

Q: Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel through your subscriber portal before the 5th of the month and no further bars ship. Cancel after the 5th and you'll still get that month's bar.

Q: Can I skip a month?

Yes, once every 6 months. Submit your skip through the subscriber portal before the 5th.

Q: Is any bar in the club fragrance-free?

Yes. No. 06, Nothing Extra, ships in January and is completely unscented, built on an olive and apricot kernel base for the face. No essential oil, no fragrance oil, no colorant.

Q: What is the sample in each box?

A preview of next month's bar. Every shipment includes a sample-size piece of what's coming next, so you get to try it two weeks before the full-size bar ships and before I share the story behind it. Club members only.

Q: I just signed up, when do I get my first bar?

If you subscribe by the 10th of the month, you're in that month's shipment on the 15th. Sign up after the 10th and your first bar ships the 15th of the following month.

Q: Can I buy a past month's bar without subscribing?

Sometimes. Once a bar's scent is revealed, any extras left after that month's shipments occasionally show up in the regular shop as a one-off, but there's no guarantee, and it's never the full lineup. Subscribing is the only way to get every bar.
