Five plant enzymes, each one doing a different job. This is what we add to a wash when regular detergent leaves something behind: sweat, grease, a pasta sauce stain that's been sitting since Tuesday. Detergent lifts dirt. Enzymes digest it.

    Five Enzymes, Five Jobs

    • Papain (from papaya) breaks down sweat, blood, and grass stains
    • Bromelain (from pineapple) clears deodorant buildup and yellowing
    • Amylase digests food starch, baby formula, and mud
    • Lipase dissolves oils, grease, and makeup
    • Cellulase brightens fabric fibers and helps prevent graying

A single-enzyme booster tackles one type of stain. This one covers most of what actually shows up in a laundry basket.

    What's In It

Active ingredients: Plant Enzyme Blend (papain, bromelain, amylase, lipase, cellulase), Sodium Percarbonate (oxygen-based whitening, no chlorine).
Mineral base: Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Carbonate, and a natural citrate that softens water and protects the enzymes.
Also in here: Plant starch (protects enzyme activity) and Lavender Essential Oil for scent. Nothing you can't pronounce.

The formula runs pH 8.5-9.2, which is where these enzymes stay active longest. That's also why it works in cold water: the enzymes don't break down early the way some single-enzyme boosters do in hot water.

    What's Not In It

    • Chlorine bleach
    • Optical brighteners
    • Synthetic fragrance
    • Phosphates or sulfates
    • Dyes or parabens

    How to Use It

Everyday boost: 1-2 tablespoons in the drum before clothes go in. Pairs well with our Natural Laundry Powder for full-strength washing.
Stain fighting: Mix 1 teaspoon with warm water into a paste, let it sit 15 minutes, then wash with 2 tablespoons of booster added.
Whitening: 2-3 tablespoons for dingy whites or odor. Safe for colors when used as directed.
Deep soak: Dissolve 2 tablespoons in warm water, soak 30 minutes to overnight, then wash normally.

Pairs naturally with our Natural Laundry collection and works alongside the XXL Solid Dish Bar if you're building out a full natural cleaning routine.

    Questions We Actually Get Asked

What is an enzyme laundry booster?

A laundry additive that uses plant-based enzymes to break down specific stains and odors at a molecular level. Where detergent lifts dirt mechanically, enzymes digest organic matter, protein stains like sweat and blood, grease, starch, and odor-causing bacteria. This formula uses five: papain, bromelain, amylase, lipase, and cellulase.

How is this different from regular laundry detergent?

Detergent cleans your clothes. This booster targets what detergent alone can't fully address. Add 1-2 tablespoons per load directly in the drum, or mix into a paste to pre-treat stubborn stains.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. No synthetic fragrance, dyes, optical brighteners, phosphates, or sulfates. The enzymes are plant-derived and rinse out completely.

Does it work in cold water?

Yes. The formula is pH-optimized (8.5-9.2) for cold water activation, and the enzymes stay active throughout the wash cycle instead of breaking down early.

    Is this coconut-free?

Yes. No coconut oil or coconut-derived ingredients. Part of our coconut-free line, safe for coconut-sensitive households.
