Most liquid castile soaps, including the most popular national brand, use coconut oil as the primary base. This one uses olive oil, hemp seed oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil instead. No coconut oil, no coconut-derived surfactants, and no palm oil at any stage.
If you've reacted to a castile-style soap before, coconut oil is usually the reason. This formula removes it entirely, and skips palm oil too, which most "coconut-free" alternatives still quietly include.

Ingredients: Aqua, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed (Hemp) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Sodium Gluconate, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol
In plain terms: water, olive oil, hemp seed oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, a plant-derived humectant, a mineral chelator that keeps the formula stable, and a preservative system that protects the finished product. Nothing else.
How to Use It
- Foaming hand soap: Mix 1 part castile with 4 parts distilled or cooled boiled water in a foaming pump dispenser.
- Standard pump hand soap: Mix 2 parts castile with 1 part distilled water.
- Body wash: Use a small amount directly in the shower. A little goes further than you expect.
- Face wash: Dilute significantly and rinse thoroughly. Real soap has a higher pH than skin.
- Light all-purpose spray: Mix 1 teaspoon per quart of water for a gentle surface cleaner.
Once diluted, use within 4 to 6 weeks and keep the dispenser capped between uses. One 16 oz bottle yields months of hand soap for most households at the standard foaming ratio.

Is this really coconut-free?

How is this different from Dr. Bronner's?
Dr. Bronner's uses coconut oil as its primary base. Potassium cocoate appears first or second on their ingredient list. This formula uses olive oil as the primary base with no coconut oil or coconut derivatives. For anyone avoiding coconut, that's the functional difference.
Why is the lather soft? Is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong. True liquid soap made without coconut oil lathers differently than commercial hand soap. It works best in a foaming pump dispenser, which creates foam with minimal product. It cleans just as effectively as a denser-lathering soap.
Why is it thick?
This is a true concentrate, formulated to be diluted before use, which is why it pours with some body. Follow the dilution ratios above for best results.
Can I use this as shampoo?
Some people do. Real soap has a higher pH than hair and scalp, which can cause temporary dryness or buildup depending on your water and hair type. If you try it, dilute first and expect a short adjustment period.
How long does one bottle last, and how long is it good for once diluted?

First let me say the presentation of opening the.package of my new Castile Coconut Free Soap and finding a Welcome note, with 2 samples of items also Coconut Free was delightful. So different than online orders at Amazon, might I add you won't find this specialized nut free product there. After hours of searching, returning products bought because website descriptions didn't match box ingredients and just poor products I went looking for independent sellers of specialized products, for people like me. I just developed an allergy to coconut and its derivatives. Over 90% of soap products and body essentials use coconut or it's derivatives. I'm purging Everything, down to coffee creamer. The Seaspray Liquid Castile Soap is so versatile and made for sensitive skin. I couldn't receive it fast enough! The Founder of the company also welcomed me and is truly interested in her consumer. I will be showering shortly and have already mixed my soap for hand wash. Thanks to Seaspray again!
