No scent. No color. No coconut. No babassu. Just the oils that clean.
The Naked Bar is what's left when you take everything optional out of a soap recipe. No essential oils, no fragrance oils, no clay or charcoal or botanical swirl, no babassu, no tallow. Just olive oil, kokum butter, shea butter, rice bran oil, and castor oil, saponified and cured. This is the bar for skin that reacts to something in almost every other soap on the shelf and needs a way to rule ingredients out.
Built for Skin That's Still Figuring Out What It Reacts To
Most "sensitive skin" soap still has an essential oil blend, a clay, a milk powder, something. That's fine for most sensitive skin. It's not fine for skin that reacts to essential oils specifically, or to babassu, or to anything with a scent at all. The Naked Bar exists for that narrower, harder-to-shop-for case.
It's soft and creamy rather than densely bubbly. Olive oil is the largest ingredient in the base, which means this bar behaves closer to a castile soap than to our scented body bars: a gentler, lower-lather clean, not a stripped-feeling one. Kokum butter and rice bran oil add conditioning the plain castile bars usually skip.
Nothing here is added for how it looks. There's no clay, no charcoal, no colorant. What you're holding is what saponified.
What's In It
Olive oil is the base of the bar. Conditioning and mild, it's the ingredient responsible for this bar's soft, castile-adjacent lather.
Kokum butter firms the bar and adds a light, non-greasy conditioning layer that a plain olive oil soap usually skips.
Shea butter keeps skin from feeling dry after rinsing.
Rice bran oil adds a silky, lightweight conditioning layer.
Castor oil helps build what lather this bar has and gives it a smooth rinse.
Aloe juice replaces plain water in the recipe. No fragrance or lather benefit, just the liquid the recipe is built on.
Ingredients List: Sodium Olivate, Sodium Kokumate (Garcinia Indica Seed Butter), Sodium Shea Butterate, Sodium Oryzate (Rice Bran Oil), Sodium Ricinoleate (Castor Oil), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Citrate, Sucrose, Sericin (Tussah Silk)
What Makes It Different
- No essential oils or fragrance oils. Genuinely unscented, not "lightly scented."
- No babassu. Coconut-free the same way our other CF bars are, plus this one skips the coconut stand-in too.
- No clay, charcoal, or colorant of any kind.
- No tallow. Fully plant-based base.
- Softer, lower-lather bar than our scented body bars, closer to a castile feel.
Who This Bar Is For

- Anyone in the middle of patch-testing and trying to rule ingredients out one at a time
- People who want a genuinely plain bar and don't want to read an ingredient list to confirm it

Questions We Actually Get Asked
Is The Naked Bar really unscented, not just fragrance-free?
Yes. No essential oils and no fragrance oils. Most of our "fragrance-free" language elsewhere still allows essential oils. This bar has none.
Does this bar contain babassu oil like the rest of the coconut-free line?
No. This is the one bar in our lineup without babassu. If babassu itself is something you react to, not just coconut, this is the bar built around that.
Why doesn't this bar lather as much as your other soaps?
The base is heavy on olive oil, which makes a softer, creamier lather rather than a dense, bubbly one. That's a direct result of leaving out babassu and tallow, the two ingredients that build big lather in our other bars.
Is The Naked Bar in the Coconut-Free Soap Sampler?
No. It's sold separately from the sampler. The sampler covers our five scented coconut-free body bars.
How long does the bar last?
4 to 6 weeks with daily use, longer if you keep it dry on a draining soap dish between showers.
