A coconut-free tallow bar built on buttermilk, avocado oil, cocoa seed butter, and shea butter, finished with Australian red clay and red sandalwood powder. Scented with juniper, orange, frankincense, and a touch of cedarwood essential oils. It smells like the end of a long beach day: sun-warmed wood, dry salt air, something warm and resinous underneath.

The Formula

Buttermilk replaces a portion of the water base here. It brings natural lactic acid into the formula without any artificial additives, giving the bar a slightly creamy, skin-softening quality that plain water can't. Atlantic sea water adds coastal minerals. Tallow provides a stable, conditioning foundation. Avocado oil, cocoa seed butter, and shea round out a base that lathers rich and conditions as it cleans.

Australian red clay gives the bar its warm terracotta color and draws surface impurities without stripping. Red sandalwood powder adds a fine woody texture with light exfoliating action. Neither is aggressive. Together they make a bar that feels like it's doing something without making your skin feel like it went through something.

The scent builds in layers. Juniper opens it green and a little sharp, like wood smoke and pine. Orange lifts it with brightness. Frankincense and a touch of cedarwood settle underneath with depth and a dry, slightly smoky warmth. The result is earthy without being heavy, fresh without being sharp.

Red Sandalwood Powder - A fine, woody botanical that adds light exfoliating texture and contributes to the bar's earthy scent profile.

Juniper Essential Oil - Green, woody, and a little sharp. The opening note. Smells like pine needles and wood smoke.

Orange Essential Oil - Bright and citrusy. Lifts the heavier woody notes and keeps the scent from going too dark.

Frankincense Essential Oil - Resinous, slightly smoky, and warm. The depth note that makes this bar smell like driftwood instead of a generic citrus.

Cedarwood Essential Oil - A quiet base note that rounds out the blend with extra warmth and grounding.

How to Use

Wet the bar and your hands or a washcloth. Work up a lather and apply to face or body. Rinse thoroughly. Between uses, store on a draining soap dish and let it dry completely. A bar that dries between uses lasts significantly longer than one that sits in a puddle.
