Built for Reactive Skin
Most soaps marketed for sensitive skin still contain coconut-derived surfactants or fragrance oils. The label says gentle. The ingredient list says something else.
This bar started because that kept being true. Calamine goes in at the oil stage, not dusted on for appearance. So does the oat. So does the aloe. The base is grass-fed tallow, rice bran oil, olive oil, and shea, a combination that cleans without stripping and rinses completely clean. No tight feeling afterward. No residue. No second-guessing.
It also works well for summer skin. If your skin has been through sun, heat, and bug bites before it ever gets to the shower, the calamine and oat are in here for exactly that.
What's In It
Grass-fed tallow is the base. Hard, long-lasting, with a lather that's rich without feeling heavy. Cleans without stripping.
Rice bran oil softens the lather without grease.
Olive oil is mild and conditioning. Good for daily use on easily irritated skin.
Aloe Juice replaces part of the water in the formula. The lather feels cooler and lighter because of it.
Shea butter keeps skin from feeling dry after rinsing.
Castor oil gives the lather its density and a smooth rinse.
Calamine is zinc oxide and iron oxide, the same mineral ingredients in the pink lotion, worked evenly into the bar at the oil stage.
Lavender essential oil from 2 varieties (French & Dutch). One adds body, one adds brightness. Smells like lavender is supposed to smell.
Oat is finely milled and goes into the lather.
Kaolin clay draws surface impurities without stripping moisture.
Titanium dioxide gives the bar its white color. That's all it does.

A Note on Lavender
This bar contains two lavender essential oils. Most people with sensitive skin tolerate lavender without issue. But if you react to all fragrance including essential oils, this bar is not the right fit. Our fragrance-free collection is built for that. How to Use
Wet the bar and your hands. Work up a lather and apply to damp skin. Rinse thoroughly. Store on a draining soap dish between uses. Bars kept dry between uses last significantly longer.

Is this bar really coconut-free?
Yes. No coconut oil and no coconut-derived surfactants anywhere in the formula. The base is tallow, rice bran oil, olive oil, shea butter, and castor oil. If you've had reactions to soaps containing sodium cocoate or coco-glucoside, this formula does not have those.
Will the lavender bother my sensitive skin?
