How the Sea Spray Foaming Hand Soap Tablet Works (And Why the Format Matters)

A foaming hand soap tablet is a concentrated soap pellet that you dissolve in water to make a full bottle of foaming hand soap. The concept is simple. The format advantage is bigger than it first appears. Here's how it works and why we chose it over conventional liquid hand soap.

The mechanics

Each tablet dissolves in warm water in a foaming hand soap dispenser, the pump type that aerates the soap and makes a light foam rather than a thick liquid. Fill an 8 oz foaming dispenser with warm water to the fill line, drop in one tablet, and let it dissolve. It takes about 30 minutes, and breaking the tablet in half speeds it up. The cleansing base is sodium coco sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine, both coconut-derived.
